If you tire of the white sand beach and peacefulness of Fishermen's, the ferry dock to Cozumel is also within walking distance for an easy day trip to this wonderful island.
The area is dotted with the remnants of its Mayan civilization, two of which can be viewed directly on Fishermen's property. The breathtaking famous ruins of Tulum are only a half hour away.
For lovers of the sea, this area has several fabulous ecoparks, such as Xcaret only five minutes away, Xel-Ha, Tres Rios and several others. The beach is second to none and the water is warm and astonishingly clear.
The tour desk at Fishermen's can direct the adventurous to cave diving, snorkeling, four-wheel jungle tours, cenote tours and cave tours, to name but a few.
Sunset Fishermen's is managed by RCI, a worldwide timeshare company. RCI owns many of the units at Fishermen's, but a select few of the units are owned privately, such as my unit. This management provides top-level services at Fishermen's. In addition to the beautiful restaurant-bar located directly on the beach, you will find a full service spa on the premises offering luxury spa services such as massage (with TENS units also), aromatherapy, reflexology, waxing, complete hair care, pedicure/manicure, etcetera.
Fishermen's large and air-conditioned exercise room is also located directly on the beach as well as two Jacuzzis on the beach.

CAVERNS AND CENOTES
PONDEROSA
Located just south of Puerto Aventuras on the main highway. Ponderosa is a popular dive sit that includes a short traverse between 2 cenotes. Ponderosa is a perfect site to experience cenote diving due to is immense size. You will also see the halocline or mixing zone between fresh and salt water here.
CHAC MOOL
Located just south of Puerto Aventuras on the main highway. Chac Mool has a large cavern zone a offers beautiful views of the jungle vegetation from inside the cavern.
GRAN CENOTE
Located 3 miles west of Tulum on the Coba road. Gran Cenote is a perfect for cenote diving and snorkeling. Beautiful white formations drip from the ceiling and rise up off the floor. A great place to have a picnic and spend the day.
DOS OJOS
Located just south of a Xel-ha on the main highway. Dos Ojos is the entrance to the third largest underwater cave in the world, and it’s cavern zone will not disappoint you. A short traverse from the main entrances take you back in time. Curtains of light beam through cavern zone illuminating thousand of dedicate formations
TAJMAHAL
Located south of Xpu Ha on the main highway, Taj Mahal has it all. Beautiful decorations the halocline and 4 interconnected cenotes make this one of the more popular cenotes dives. Don’t miss the points of light room.
CARWASH
Located 3 miles west of Tulum on the Coba road Carwash is a must see cenote dive, it’s immense cavern zone and the silhouettes of formations against the blue entrance defy description.
